Why is that apparently, dogs don't like being covered up? And you guessed it, molly in all her weirdness loves her new wooly blanket, and snuggling up, on half of it and udner the other half (it's huge).

I've never heard that dogs don't like being covered up. My dog use to get under the blankets...

Dad tells me off when I cover molly, as she only takes up a fraction of the rug, saying 'don't you know that dogs hate being covered up' and mum agrees with him as if it's common knowledge.

Plus when they're puppies they all huddle on top of each other . . .
muprhy gets under the quilt, course she's a cat but when i did have a dog i can;t remember her having a problem with it
Saying all dogs don't like being covered is a bit like saying all people don't like Brussels sprouts. generalisations don't work in either instance.
Well it's not common knowledge or me and pinki would have heard of it :-)

That's no so molly, they like being snug - probably don't like their heads covered. Our old dog used to get in my brother's pram and we'd cover him up like a baby!

I had two terriers who would dive under the bedclothes if they got the opportunity.
Max and Bingo would both prefer to lie under a quilt or a cushion, they loved being warm.

That's preciely what I said.
Every morning after his first walk my 8 month old JRT Alfie will wriggle under his bed and sleep for another hour. Then he walks round with it (it's a doughnut) on his back, I think he was a turtle in a former life !!!
Both my JRT's love been coverd up, even their heads, in fact Tally (short for Tallyban, spelt like that so as not to be confusing, as shes a Jack Russell Terrorist) can sleep properly unless shes covered up!!!! Maybe she lived in a cave in a past life!!!!!
It is essential that you do not allow them to f@rt under the covers though.

Frankie loves lying under the covers and purrs happily. Merlin demands to get under the covers but never stays for more than a couple of minutes.
My mastiff walks round with a fleece blanket on him during very cold weather. He looks like a Shetland Pony!
