Booster or whole vaccination course?

I stupidly forgot that one of my dogs was due to have her booster last October -- she's 3.5yrs old, do you think that she'll have to have the 2 vaccs done instead of the booster when I take her next week?

Quite possibly, I had to start again with my cat Rover's vaccs when I forgot it for three months....

That is what the vet will say he needs to do, but you could opt to have the titer test to check imminuity and you will probably find he only needs to vaccinated against the parvo and the lepto virus anyway.

Is she insured? My insurer requires up to date vacs for the cover to be valid

My vet will actually allow up to 18 months between boosters. Are you within that time frame? I get Lottie's boosters done annually but I know other people who go the 18 months.The problems start if you want to use kennels and I think they insist on 12 months. I've read lots of different articles on this (about just how long immunity lasts) and as Jules says,you could get the titer test done to be sure.

Thank you all for your answers - I will definitely be getting her re-vaccinated, I never intended not to, as she is the dog that goes out and about with us a lot. I'll ask my vet about the titer test. Have you really got a cat called Rover boxtops? topdogtraining, I'm afraid that your link is not working. My other two dogs are 11 and nearly 14 respectively, and I'm not vaccinating the oldest dog now, at that age I think he's built up enough immunity to protect him.
