So sad - if she had been fostered for a while, I wonder if that could have happened. I don't understand the judge saying "the dog didn't belong to her" - whose was it, then?
The coroner said that the dog didn't belong to Mrs. Hemmings, the woman from the shelter. However I do feel that to say in reference to Mrs. Hemmings that "I have to say that I do feel she bares (sic) an awful lot of responsibility for what has happened.' is going a bit far for a coroner

Noticed he didn't offer to either take the dog in or help his own mother look after it.
I'm with you Boo, should'nt the son have helped even if just for a short time?
