Lankeela, I heard this earlier this week and it brought tears to my eyes. Yes a very fitting tribute indeed. Man's best friend is his dog!

saw this on the news at lunch time it brought a tear to me i hope they will put the dogs ashes in the coffin with the soldier, they said they were going to be given to his parents

Ironic that this soldier was due to return to the Uk, but his dog was destined to stay and carry on with his work, the soldier was dreading leaving his dog behind!..........so sad!..........
