How far do seagulls come in land?

As the crow flies - or seagull in this case we're about 3 or 4 miles from the sea and often see them about.

Those ones are called landgulls...

There is no such thing as a Seagull............they are just Gulls.

Some like to live inland, especially near land-fill sites; and the sea really isn't very far from you....as the gull flies.

When I visit Birmingham city there are Seagulls there.Ron.

Strictly speaking they are European Herring Gulls

I live around 40 - 50 miles from the sea and I hear them all the time.

Can't get much further from the sea than Northampton...there used to loads of them in the school playground.

When you are in Weedon (just up the road) you can't be any further from the sea...

I'm in Birmingham...we have herring gulls, black headed gulls and Greater black backed all over the place... we get odd lesser black backed and common gulls (which are not that common) and there have been a number of rarer ones on the many large reservoirs and lakes

We live about 60-70miles from the sea and most of the local ponds have a few gulls living on them, and the land fill,a few miles down the road has a huge colony

As others have said Molly, Gulls are not confined to the coast. Loads of them about everywhere. There are lots in the London parks.

I never told you, R passed away at the weekend. I though he had a few weeks ago cos about a mnth ago our teacher said he was down to days xx
