Looked like a chaffinch . . .
3 Answers
I was walking in country/farmland today and noticed a bird which I initially thought was a chaffinach. However when I saw it fly off it looked a bit different.
It was obviously chaffinch sized, but it looked as if its top side (ie wings and back) were orangy chaffinch colour but the underside was buff coloured. It also looked as if it had a white collar round its neck.
Any ideas?
