I, like many others, have a bird table and bird bath in my back yard. I have bought some bird seed for our feathered friends but it does not last 5 minutes. I got if from the local pet shop but it is rather expensive and you can only get it in small quantities.
Can you buy this bird seed in bulk over the Internet or anywhere else for that matter? I am on a very limited income and need to save where I can but do not want to stop feeding the birds.
Thanks in advance for all your kind and helpful answers.

Also, my sparrows have a feast all day on 2 tablespoons of porridge oats, it really does last all day. I spread it out on a wall ledge that is close by to our conservatory. ---cheap and cheerfull jonny.

Home Bargain is def the cheapest that I've found.
We have a Home Bargain store opposite a Wilkinson's store, so I decided to check them both out. I can't remember how much they were in Wilkinson's but home Bargain is quite a bit cheaper.
A bag of 1.8kg bird food costs 99p and a pack of 6 fatballs costs 49p - you read that correct by the way, no typing errors - I challenge anyone to find cheaper ........

You don't need to spend a fortune .
Blackbirds love sultanas .You can put out out suet and oats .Cold cooked potato, stale cake and bread (but soak it first )cooked rice. Robins like cheese .
Mealworms are cheap to buy as are fatballs . You can make your own fatballs .
I collect the snails that lurk around and throw them on the shed roof ....the birds soon make short work of them.
