So this has started, I believe. I can't find any up to date information. All I can find is info. from last year sayng it wasn't going to happen.
Does anyone know where I can look?

The licence would have been issued under those terms in case eggs were present, but, unless NE are 'spinning' steps were taken to reduce the chance of eggs being present.
Nest poking and shooting is a common occurrence for other predatory species on the general licence (corvids) so there is nothing new about the method.
As if NE would spin!! :-)
Anyway I won't argue with you over some lardy landowner making zillions from letting nutters shoot posh chickens for.....err...fun?...;-) x
