We've had a lovely day today at the WWT London wetlands. I would recommend it to anyone who likes birds and gardens............and otters. It's also in the two for one voucher offer, if you travel to London by train.

Mind you, it was hot!

It's lovely isn't it, grasscarp? We didn't manage to see it all, so we will go back again. (When it's a bit cooler)
Did you get to go upstairs inside (above the cafe)?
Question Author
No, we sat on the terrace and had lunch. What did we miss?
Discovery centre with information about wetlands throughout the world, interactive things for children to do. There is always so much there inside and out.

Oh well, next time. My favourite part was the rain garden. That was wonderful. I also liked the sustainable garden. Lots of ideas there for our south facing, hot garden.
Where abouts in London are they, Yilly ?.
Question Author
Between Barnes and Hammersmith, Yont. You won't be going will you?
Doubt if I would venture that far south Yilly, unless it was for a trip to wembly maybe.
The London Wetlands are on the Thames, opposite Fulham Football Ground.

They are part of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (that I am a member of) and they have places all over the UK.

So wherever you are in the UK you probably have one fairly near.

I didn't notice the football ground, VHG. We got the tube to Hammersmith and then went on a bus, which took us right to the wetlands. It was a very easy journey.
