Good Morning Early Birds!
186 Answers
Monday is here again. Not a cloud in the sky, so the washing can go on the line. Wonderful! The stars put on a beautiful display and some high flying aircraft going about their business.
I have a charter today, lunch then on to Purton. A nice trip in good weather.
When the Boaty came in. (From his walk)
I was out early this morning. 2.30ish. The moon was bright enough to see clearly. always a bonus. I heard a couple of owls having a chat, I joined in and confused the pair of 'em! :o} Some foxes calling to each other, but not being too noisy. I reckon the pair will be in place to watch the dawn by now, it's just breaking right in front of me. I love watching the sky changing colour.
The badger sett was a hive of activity, some young ones learning to forage on the edge of their territory, supervised by one of the older ones. They kept breaking off to play, just like children everywhere. I didn't see or hear anything else in the air, but the dawn chorus was tuning up. A blackbird calling them in as I came back, just as the skyline to the East began to lighten, they are in full voice now. I love that welcome to the dawn.
Foxy was in at just after ten last night, he's looking a little less bedraggled, his tail is beginning to look like proper brush again. Tiggy was in with Mrs. tiggy following closely, as always he settled her under the table right by their water dish (an old plate with a rim) He fed her first as usual until she'd had enough, then he went foraging looking for slugs and snails. I'd noticed one or two yesterday, he'd obviously spotted them on his way in. The wee lad doesn't miss much! Then he polished off what was left that I'd put out for them. He had a drink and they sat there side by side for a while before heading off, tiggy leading with his mrs close behind. It's just makes me melt to see such devotion.
Someone has drunk me coffee! I'll go and get another one.
Have a happy day everyone.

I was happy this morning, as I woke up in bed, Then realised it was Monday and I faced the day with dread, For somehow, whatever comes my way, my temper is displayed, Just mentioning 'it's Monday', my nerves, well they become frayed. The day will be just a ' write off', it's no good me trying to do Any sort of reasonable job, things won't go right. It's just so true!...

Morning lovely boaty xx All my wildlife was quite quiet last night but the gulls are going berserk at the moment. They all have young and oh boy, what a racket they make. They run about along the rooftops . It's looks like a shooting gallery.
As I said yesterday, your wildlife behaves in a much more classy manner. Mine are all thugs.(and sex addicts!!)

I probably have a dawn chorus here too but the gulls are SOOOOO loud they drown out everything else. They are in a real tizz this morning. Lots of cats around and some of the young gulls can't fly too well and land in the gardens and then can't lift off again. The parents dive bomb and screech in the hope of driving the cats away and encouraging junior to get off his backside and FLYYYY!! Doesn't always work. The local cats(hate them !) are having a great time and killing everything they come across.
