Sorry, meant Manton Bay.
Egyptian Geese. They've made themselves quite at home.:-)
Question Author
They certainly have. But hey just arrived about 10 min ago and she went straight into making her nest. Before they arrived there were a pair of ducks there who
Mr. Goose got rid of with just a show of his wing span.
They've been there for a couple of days. Maya is due to arrive back any day. We'll see what happens then!
Question Author
Yes it will be very interesting. They look to be about the same size as the osprey. I read in the news article that Maya's mate has already arrived so any ideas of why he isn't keeping the nest ready for her Tilly?
The ducks sense something now so there may be an osprey on the scene .
Where did you read that, X stitcher? 03 (97) is home.
I haven't read that 33 (11), Maya's final mate last year, is home.
Question Author
Oh gosh, it was only last night and I think it could have been on here and that someone had given a website link. (Mind like a sieve)
Never mind, xstitcher. Things will get sorted, eventually.
Looks like mother goose is going to be very disappointed when the osprey's get back from Africa. She's very busy making a nesting scraps at the moment.
On the Rutland site there is a beautiful video of 03 tidying up the nest for his partner's return.......☺
Does anybody remember Rutland Weekend Television?
Neil Innes, yes, loved it.
That's the fella. Made Monty Python look sensible.
He could sing, though.
The live stream from Manton Bay is worth a look just now.....☺
