I Rescued A Bird Table From A Skip.the Wood Its Made From Seems To Be Untreated.

Would it be OK to give it a coat of wood preserver, the sort you'd put on fences, or could that be harmful to the birds?

would only use a water based treatment if any..not the oil/creosote type

Thanks, Minty. I'll leave it au naturel. There's no sense attracting birds with food and then poisoning them with toxic paint.
the water based ones should be ok....bit of a bother getting them painted and dry in this weather though...
