..... for a long time.
Just home from an appointment with the Surgery Nurse, walked in, sat down and was told "Mr H I have arranged for one of the Doctors to come and see you" immediate thought was this is not good,
However it turned out to be brilliant. I was diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic in early 2010, since then I have been very careful with my diet and have made sure I have done a lot of exercise, dog walking, weight training and other things.
As of today I am no longer classified as a Diabetic and can stop the Meds and stick 'em in the bin,
I am really chuffed to bits ;o)))

Nice one Balders. Nice to win one for a change. I still am type 2 but have decreased blood sugar level. If you can do it so can others. Well done, enjoying binning the metformin.

That's what I was hoping it would be, it wasn't easy but it was worth the effort.
Well done Balders. I, too, turned my diabetes 2 on it's head by changing my diet and doing regular exercise. Was on 4 Metformin per day which was gradually reduced to none about a year back. I do, however, still attend the clinic every 6 months just to be on the safe side and have just returned from my annual Diabetes Retinal Scan. Can't be too careful with the old peepers :-)
