I would think why this Tory MP for Dover defected to Labour  would have some bearing on immigration. I wonder if she heard Rishi telling king size porkies at PMQs  when he said immigration figures are falling.  When 2,000 people in rubber boats have arrived in the UK since the Rwanda bill became law and the figures have gone up not down .

Not entirely sure why Labour accepted her. She's a right-winger with strong views on immigration. A lot of Labour MP's don't want her in the party.

It's good publicity for Labour. I wonder, though, if Nigel Farage has got it sussed; he points out that at the end of theMajor government several Tories crossed to Labour and all ended up with Peerages. Coincidence, or what?
