Mallards?

We have two Mallard ducks on our lake. They had 6 ducklings. One is solid white. How can this be? It looks just like a tame white duck with bright orange bill and feet????

Perhaps all is not as it seems. Did Mrs Mallard have any domesticated visitors when Mr Mallard was away looking for nesting sites?
The white ducks are after all bred from the Mallard so.............

It's all in the genes. Possibly one of the ancestors of these ducks was white.
