binoculars what kind????

Im goin on safari in kenya in june and wanted a good pair of binoculars.I havn't got a clue what im looking for in buying a pair.i didnt really want to spend more than around 50 quid.any ans welcome cheers.

I know a little about binoculars (I do some bird watching).

Make sure you get a pair that are small and light.

Having a pair of heavy binoculars around your neck can get very annoying after a while.

Search in Google for "binoculars safari" and things like that and you get a few sites giving hints on what to look for.

The site I posted just above suggests the Steiner Safari 10x26 as good "value" binoculars.

Amazon UK dont seem to stock them, but these people do at �47.97 which seems to fit your price bracket nicely.

If you go to your local high street or shopping centre you may find them there if you look for a good camera shop like Jessops.
