Not actually a news question, but a question about the news section.

Among these recent posts we have seen two that have reached 200 plus answers, one on the subject of the Burka and one on homosexuality.
What could have been the reason for these two subjects to have attracted the largest response?
Also what question on the news section ever attracted the largest response, and on what subject did that cover?

like ummmm says, people have strong views on both subjects, and a thread will split into 2 camps. Both imo, capable of getting just as silly as the other.
The gays kissing in a pub should have been treated for hat it was.... very light drizzle in a tea cup. How the police have got involved in that incident, god only knows.

The previous post on the gay men kissing attracted a lot of responses, to be honest, I am so surprised in this day and age that some have such offensive views to gay people. The fact that someone said they had a soft spot for gays that being a bog in northern ireland makes me sick!!
That to me is offensive, seems some people have different ideas on what "offensive" is? It's 2011, think some people need to move with the times!
