Remote desktop session being blocked by localally logged on user
7 Answers
I am trying to connect to my home computer via remote desktop, however even though I am a administrator on the machine I can be blocked from connecting if a standard user is on the machine and chooses to block my connection.
If nobody is logged onto the machine I do not have an issue and the connection goes through ok, I just need to know how I can prevent a locally logged on person who is a member of the standard user group blocking my connection attempts ?

(there is a hack you can do to enable both users to log in at the same time BTW... http://sig9.com/artic...urrent-remote-desktop )

I`m pleased to report that the fast user switching solution put forward appears to have resolved the issue. I did find however that it is not possible to switch tis off via a rdp session, you need to be locally logged on to do this. I`m sure that there is a registry tweak somewhere to bypass this issue but the main thing is I now have my god rights back on the machine (;->
