Following a recommendation from an ABer, I bought a set of expensive pans. Best things I ever bought (almost). Lovely to cook with and a dream to clean. They are fab and worth every penny.

Also, I stay in a lot of hotels and since learning of it from an ABer, I now leave the bog roll folded into a nice little plant pot. Looks so much cuter than the usual boring triangle.

Yes, I am bonkers and some would say "get a life". Hey ho, live and let live, that's what I say. :o)

So....have you learned anything from your time on AB?

Yeah, generally people are nuts!!!

Seriously though

1) loads of cooking tips from the really good cooks on here
2) there are an awful lot of people out there who fancy themselves as lawyers but in reality are clueless.
Yes, a lot of people don`t read questions properly. I also found out that too much typing makes my wrists hurt :-)
Yes, good information, good tips, good ideas and friendly chatty people, I love it. As for affecting my life, I have less time in a day than I used to have, but it keeps me off the streets (selling matches) so I don't mind at all <smile>
Yes - there are some good cyber-mates on here, the support in times of trouble is amazing, considering we've never even met - and that it is possible to spend a huge amount of your leisure time communicating with them, instead of doing things I should be doing!
Since Thursday evening,I,ve learnt never to get involved again, with the Germaine Greer crowd.
I have met several new 'friends' through the Animals and Nature section and we have actually met up at dog shows. One has given me a very useful item for my dogs and another has brought cake to a show to celebrate her dog becoming a champion!
How do you fold a bog roll into a plant pot ?
totally took mine turned it upside down gave it a good shake and now no part of it is the same...learned a lot...especially about how folk behave using an anonymous medium of communication.. and also that most folk are decent helpful and not like on any other forum I 've visited
What's this loo roll folded into a plant pot..wow I love origami I wonder if it's like mine where I make mine into a "rose" sitting in the middle of the loo roll casing? If it's different, please explain lolol.
Also through the Travel section Chris (Buenchico) amongst others has saved me lots of time, frustration and money with his travel tips.
Can we have some bog rolls photos on here please?
Consider it a lesson well learnt DG ;-)

Thanks for replies peeps.

DG, who are the GG crowd? I've never heard of them.

Smurf, I'll see if I can find a link for you.
Agree with smurf. I've missed this lesson and I need to know...
Cant remember what I used to do before I came on here.
Please explain yourself, Daftgrandad?
Totally confused about the bog roll rolding. How do you fold a bog roll? Or do you fold the bits that you have used :o(

There are loads of things I have learned from my time on here. Most recent thing is that I am now using Lidl's £3.99 perfume which is actually rather nice!!
I can explain for him, he's still annoyed that Doc was suspended for his out of order comments on Thursday night.

Quite how it affects DG or why he's still annoyed by it is beyond me. Now thanks to him, once again, a completely unrelated thread is about THAT topic....nice going DG!

roll folding, not roll rolding!!
Gawd if I'd folded my loo roll like that I'd be well peed off if anyone then used it!
