Would it be at all possible to have an automatic spell corrector inbuilt into all topics of AnswerBank. I am getting heartily sick of trying to read some O/Ps & having to constantly decipher them whilst trying to make sense of them. I wish people would read what they have typed before pressing the submit button. I am particularly concerned about statements saying ''I no'' instead of ''I know''& the constant misuse of ''there & their''.Call me an old fart if you like I really don't care, all I know is that I was ''taught proper innit''

True about the single space in newspaper, though surely "innit" is perfectly fine because it's in quotes (despite the fact I hate people using innit in speech)
didoatwork, it's whiskeRyron, & please point out the errors.

I'm so glad you shortened your username to just , whiskeyron.

'whiskeRyron, & please point out the errors' is such a mouthfull.
Leave things as they are. As said at the beginning, if the spelling is bad and you don't like it, just move on. I often ignore the poorly spelt questions as in my experience it gives an indication of other things.
I stand corrected Wiskeryron. Although I think I prefer Whiskey Ron!!
I never noticed the r either.

I still don't understand why we can't edit our own posts on here? I'm a member of a few forums yes this is the only one without that option.
No, I do not think that this is a good idea at all. It would put us out of a job for life.

Should I have put Whiskey in inverted commas?
Postdog?

LOL, the problem is I catch myself using "innit" occasionally (it's catching round this way) and then I hate myself for it :)
do some abers really get annoyed when they see wrong spelling and punctuation ?

Thanks for pointing out my mistakes I must do better & may I just point out that ''taught proper innit'' should have been seen as tongue- in- cheek.

Not annoyed Anne, just slightly saddened by the lack of spelling. However, sometimes it is the inability to type too.
