yes it most certainly is down to the photographer....it is the photographers job to run the shoot...to art direct, give direction, to control what happens and what is seen in the photos and make sure everything is ok...that includes things like this.
otherwise you are just pointing and clicking - and wheres the skill in that??
if something looks wrong, they are suppose to correct it...not just take loads of useless photos!
do you expect models to stop shoots every 5 minutes to check their own hair and makeup?
do they run off-set to a mirror wheneven they please?
Or do they rely on the photographer to tell them when they need a touch up and a stray strand of hair is on their face?
it is their job to 'compose' shots...its like me painting a picture, but painting in the edge of my easel into the painting, just because its there...or painting the lump of bird poo on their shoulder in, or something...
your daft analogy makes no sense at all
if i went for a photo shoot and looked a mess on all the pics because no-one told me my hair was sticking up or something and they just took the pics anyway...id be furious.
and please dont try to tell me she thought it was his 'fashion'...thats nonsense...if it was the top button i wouldnt mind, but its in the middle...
