I think it's easy enough to say thanks if you want tooi don't think it would make much difference. Some posters rarely acknowledge answers, perhaps because they have forgotten about their question or more likely they just can't be bothered or don't ssee the need.
However, nother reason why some people don't say thanks is they simply don't know how to reply to their own questions, and if they have IE6 they don't see a SUBMIT button. A thankyou button could help here provided it can be seen via IE6.
My keyboard is still missing out letters on AB (doesn't seem to happen anywhere else).
My last post should have started:
"I think it's easy enough to say thanks if you want to so I don't think it would make much difference"
And a button to be used by anyone objecting to my posting.!!! It would save having to type a message to Editorial.
How about AB developing and giving us a download of a 'Thought Processing' system, whereby we merely think what we wish to say and then press a button.? :-)
One doesn't thank on each occasion someone posts; one waits a while to give others a chance to post and then express appreciation to all those who have been helpful in matters. Furthermore, I never moan when I don't get thanks; and this could be the case with many other ABers.
