For a variety of reasons I want to change my user name. Should I email Ed or just register a new name (and can this be done for the email address that this user name is registered to)?
I begged the ed to ban my old account so everything disappeared but he wouldn't. Might do for you but otherwise there isn't a way to remove this account.
You could ask a mod to ban you and then re-register I guess. Are you going to let everyone know who you are if you come back with a user name though? As I'm not sure I'd see the point to that.
Hi china - thinking about it, it probably wouldn't work but my current use name is so easy to identify who I am (if you alredy know me in real life). It's not the users on here who I don't want to know who I am (but people in my real life with an axe to grind).
Ah.... a mod could ban you and you could re-register but not sure if it might not cheese Ed off, maybe try going through him first. I'm pretty sure most of us would recognise you though if you came back with a new user name and talked about things 1 and 2. :c)
I've twice 'banned' users at their own request but I don't like doing it because it's such a drastic step.
Anyway, Sherrardk, there are far more important things to discuss. How's your son? Has he fully recovered from his tummy bug?
(I was going to write that 11-year-olds can seem so grown up at times but they're just like little kids when they're ill. But then I realised that it's the same for us adult males as well!)
Boy #1 stopped being sick at 10 last night. He was wiped out this morning, bless him. Had to pop out (but he stayed in the car) and on the way home he fell asleep. Girl is looking a bit odd and saying she has a bad tummy and I feel a bit iffy myself. But thanks for asking!
Hi china - probably pointless to change my user name as someone could still come across a post of mine and recognise me (seeing as all I do is post about the kids).
Agree with Chris, it is a drastic step... BUT, the only way if you want all of your posts removing.
If it were me, I would email Mr Ed and let him know of your intentions. That way, your IP address won't flag up as a banned user, when you re-register.
You tell us how you're to busy to do lots of cooking. You tell us how often you eat out. Then you tell us that you've bought some very expensive professional chef's knives. It's all very confusing!
;-)
I didn't buy the knives, himself did (I'm not to be trusted with sharp things). He made a roast yesterday, and he decided that our knives were crap so he went and bought some (I would just have bought cheap tatt).
Ps - I'm not too busy to cook but he treats us (when he has the money). We rarely go anywhere expensive but the kids enjoy it and we don't go out as a couple (for some reason (can't thing why) there's not many offers to babysit five children).
