Missed unless I missed it, Ed - approaching 2000 contributions, its significant. More seriously, it may be worth advising that we have a number of regular sites like Mad over 50s and WoW to now name three.....sites that are fun and can be useful for information....

This is so trivial I can understand it being overlooked but....

Many new users start a new thread to say 'thank you' or 'I forgot to mention'. Perhaps a simple 'How to reply to your own message' would be a good starting point?

You have started off by telling them that to look for answers to their question they should tick the subscribe button. That may make them think that is the only way or that they can only subscribe to their own threads. Why not say that they can track their questions and answers through my profile, and if there is any thread that they would like to be notified when there is a new post, just click on the subscribe button.
Unless there is something I have missed I cant see any advice about thanking or acknowledging answers. This is very annoying that there are a few people on here who never thank anyone ever.

Congrats Ed....I have always felt that some form of a 'welcome pack' was needed for new members.

Unless I have missed it.....Perhaps it could have mentioned the real purposes for the topics..'Suggestions' and 'Editors Blog'.

Yep, precisely, I still have the address but it's pretty much a dead address that I only use for things likely to cause me spam.
