I'm feeling disappointed and just need to share. me and my bf have been talking since last weekend about doing something this weekend. I was happy to have most of our 4 day weekend at home but bf didn't seem keen and was pushing for a trip away in our campervan as soon as we could get away. ..and depending on the weather either the coast or trip to london and we were still talking along these lines last night.
Suddenly this evening he's had a u-turn and was talking about staying at home and his main idea was getting a babysitter so we can go to the cinema tomorro night.:O( talk about disappointed. the weather has turned so i've spent the last couple of days thinking of the things we can visit in london and taking my son for the first time .instead we are going to be rattling around the house for 4 days doing nothing particular. :O( I know my bf has had a dead busy week at work and is tired but all the same. ...i'm fed up now.

there is nothing worse than looking forward to something and then having the carpet pulled from under your feet..

yes i know stoke. I used to have a friend that used to do this all the time so it's probably hitting a bit of a nerve with me.
I hate to sound unsympathetic (and I do sympathise - it's rotten when your plans are changed by someone else), but at least you have time off. I have to, not only go to work as normal, but organise and run a jubilee party on Tuesday and I'm totally anti royal!
I've got 3 hrs to go then I've got 4 days off :o)

I've got nothing planned and will just chill out, probably cook a meal sat night for the missus and take each day as it comes
I gotta be out there with happy face :-/ wen I'd rather be home pleasing myself. Its gonna be madness in the 'hood so stay indoors & bake, he can do some DIY

Tell him you know he's tired, so you're happy to have today and maybe tomorrow just chilling out but that you will be doing something on Monday or Tuesday instead. He can't have a U turn on his own, there are two of you in this, so explain to him that you'll be doing something and would like him to be involved too.
Nox, you are so full of wisdom. That is such a good reply.
