Page numbers

It would be really handy if we could type a page number so we can access a certain page instantly instead of going to page to page

how often is that needed? We already have the options of this page, next page and last page, so at 20 posts per page that's 60... you're seldom going to get more answers than that to a question.

Where is the option for last page?

the last page option is for answers in a long thread (eg see the current one on attaching photos), which takes you to the most recent answers - very useful. There isn't one for questions, though, as most recent questions are at the top, not the bottom. Should there be? Does anyone want to look at a specific page of questions? There are thousands of Qs under each topic; I'd never know which page I wanted to go to.

There's sort of a work-around it here - I was originally referring to trawling through the many pages of questions - but it should work equally well for wading through pages of answers - especially for those questions that provoke big spats..... err, sorry, I meant 'provoke big responses'.

By the way I took it, hopalong, that you were talking more about finding a ?, rather than an answer which doesn't really ever involve too much clicking about.
