Could you please do a sweep once a week say and remove all the "thank you" notes from this category as they are overloading the system.

It shows that people have read the post and probably that others are pleased some have taken the time to reply and can even save them time typing out replies.
And I thank you, topkapi, for all the others who are saying thank you to those replying.

There was a big hoohah not long ago saying that people weren't saying "thank you" so we now make sure we do.  We can't do right on here!!!

topkapi I agree totally. All that effort involved reading the posting only to find it's not even a question and then having to lift a finger and put it down again  to scroll past it, IT'S HELLISH. It's a wonder I have the energy left to get out ma bed of an afternoon ......

I don't normally post a "thank you" reply - the stupid automatic emailer irritates me. But if a reply has been of help, I will give it some spangly stars, that's what they're there for.

I thoght topkapi was referring to people who post "thank you questions" instead of just posting an answer to their own thread to say thanks! 

I don't think they're hugely overloading the system.  Certainly no more than obtuse and inane answers are so doing! :-p ( And NO, I don't ,mean anyone in particular!)
