Hi Ed .....AB didn't appear to have had any real problems with FF 13 and having tested FF14Beta, I think everything should be OK when FF14 is released on the 14th of this month.

Anyway, being a Browser browser, I intend testing FF15Beta on my laptop, when FF14 is installed in my Desktop Computer.

A Browser browser like the sound of that. I did know that they were updating FF soon again wasn't sure when but its always best to have a users opinion. I seemed to have skipped over 12, so had non of the problems that were reported regarding AB.
I switched to Chrome with the recent problems, and there's no looking back.

Chrome now seems to be the 'top browser' but I am still a devotee of FF; with Chrome and Internet Explorer as 'back-ups'. I have tried Opera and Safari and can't get on with them.

I think this is an up-to-date position of the top ten Browsers.:-

so Chrome is practically perfect in every way? I have no problems with Firefox so shall stick with it. I do have Chrome installed, but when I click on it it comes up with AVG Secure Search, I don't know why. I don't have AVG on my computer, so why doesn't it just appear as Google search?
Question Author
jno...It's only a guess on my part that 'AVG Search' has been left in your computer; following the removal of 'AVG Anti Virus' programme.

Seeing as, like me, you are happy with FF as your default Browser, I don't think that you need to be bothered about the position which prevails. However, if you do wish to remove the 'AVG Search', the following may help.

Anyone else having this problem in Internet Explorer - no Submit button.

I am posting this via IE9. No missing 'Submit' button.

Ron.
Thanks Ron. I am using IE9 also. Don't know why I have the problem, but as you can see the submit button is definitely missing. But it only on AnswerBank I have the problem.

I have to revert to Firefox.
thanks, Ron, but I have mounted a search for AVG and found nothing anywhere on the computer.
jno - is the following of any help? -

sir.prise.....I think this is where we really need a comment from the Ed or a real Techie; which I am not.

I have never liked IE and whilst Chrome is now being pushed by some of AB's Techies as the best Browser, I still prefer FF and make sure that I retain a downloaded file of one which works fine in AB and can be run if problems arise with an up-dated version....As was the case with FF12 and I reverted to FF11.

FF13 appears to have worked well and if my tests with FFbeta14 are anything to go by, there is unlikely to be any problems within AB when the 14th arrives on the scene.

Sorry...Typo....should have been sir.prize.

Thanks Ron........................I'm sticking with IE.

Interesting results here.:-

thanks, L-i-K, I've tried that and it seems to make no difference. Maybe it will show up after I restart my PC in the morning. It probably doesn't matter as I don't use Chrome anyway. I expect someone from Nigeria hacked into the computer and installed it.

I appreciate the comment from all who have contributed to this thread.

However. whilst I thought that FF 14 was being released on Saturday of this week, it will not be available until next Tuesday.

Dates of future releases of FF are:-

14....July 17th
15....Aug.28th
16....Oct 9th

Strangely I have had nothing but problems with FF13 constantly freezing up lately & have now resorted to IE9. I was always of the opinion that FF was the best browser but it has now become a huge pain in the butt.

Hi W Ron......It does seem strange that you have had continual problems with FF13. I think that initially there were a few minor problems but FF was given a 'patch' and the current browser is now FF13.0.1.....

Have you clicked open the Firefox 'Help box' and then 'About Firefox' to see if your current FF is fully up-to-date.?

Ron.
Thanks for your suggestion Ron, have chcked it out & it appears that I am actually running FF 14 Beta but still getting '' FF Not Responding''.
