If I go to a web page which has a normal and a mobile version, like say the Seagulls website, my iPad automatically takes me to the mobile version. Which is crap. Can I stop it doing that?

discussion thread and a few suggestions here. i reckon, as my ipad gets the full site, it might be because you are going to the site through a bookmark.

Did you know you can make any website into a desktop icon using the 'box with an arrow' symbol?

The default to mobile is done when the website detects your device.

It does not matter if it is an Apple or an Android device, the website does the switch not the device.

I loathe most mobile versions, and they are particularly unnecessary on the iPad. As mentioned earlier, if you check the site there is usually a link back to the desktop version.
