Chris - can you shed some light this as it looks like we may have an over-zealous Mod on duty....I am referring to salla's come-back thread and that one on writing and review threads, some good points being made by ratter and NOx as to those with dyslexia and past injuries......it's a real shame to lose those valuable insights.

True, DT, but I always check in with the Answerbank app.... I need to keep vvvvvv close eye on some people, present company excepted.

I imagine Sallas thread went because of the banned-users she mentioned.
Question Author
still somewhat harsh, jth.
Not really.

It's been like that for a long time...
Have I missed all the goss then, DT?

Hrumph! too late again :(
Question Author
Hi nibble, you have been away again?
Bugger I've missed it all..............
The Ed generally doesn't take kindly to references to banned users but, since I posted on that thread, it should be self-evident that I didn't remove it.

I don't even recognise the other thread (unless it was the one from TWR which appeared to be a 'good moan' thread which, again, the Ed isn't too keen on).
I've just posted on one of TWR threads, and poof it's gone! What's going on with that one disappearing? Hmmmmm
Question Author
thanks for that, the TWR one moved away to some very good contributions on the difficulties of writing for some.....and what a shame to lose those as it could have served to make others better appreciative of those with such difficulties.

If the duty Ed is reading, I would make a plea to bring that thread back therefore.

Moan? I hadn't read all the post on that thread, oh well....
Question Author
that's why I asked you, Chris, and I knew that you had not removed them.....thanks was directed to you by the way.
There has definitely been some curious editorial decisions this evening.
Ridiculous dogma IMO.
there's an evening Ed, isn't there? I expect he's removing stuff.

There was at least one ever-so-slightly banned-looking poster on Salla's thread.
It just occurred to me why some posters don't elaborate on their post or response. Two or three words and that it.

Why should people waste their time to formulate a response and take time to type and post it when one is not sure if it will remain.
Merely mentioning previously banned posters isn't even in the list of Site Rules.
Question Author
so remove the banned poster on the Salla one and any offending contributions - taking out the whole thread is a bit drastic. However, TWR's is another matter as that had a lot of value.....
The one TWR posted was a perfectly sensible thread and I tool toime out of my life to answer it sensibly, as did RATTER and several other people. It wasn't simply a moaning thread at all, people made some sensible points unlike some of the banal junk which is allowed to stay because it's all sunshine and rainbows and happy clappy. Can we have no sensible threads on this site anymore?
Question Author
Agree society, particularly when they struggle to put something together. I don't think ratter will mind but he said that he has a serious dyslexia issue and writes everything out in MS Word to ensure spelling and grammar comes together, before c and p-ing it over to here - and, as a result, he finds it difficult to run with the thread per se.......

The message to me is that we all ought to be a little more supportive of cases like this - how valuable was it, well NOX started to contribute how he has writing difficulties after an accident, some days better than others, but it is a struggle for him.
