Confused

Had an email from our lovely editor who does a wicked job and full respect to him, however he confused me and wondering if anyone else can answer me so i dont have to keep hassling him over trivial things, he wrote the following

To keep spammers at bay we have a 3
post limit within 5 minute rule (this does not include ChatterBank,however).

So i am wondering what i did wrong now, cos i only posted my thread on Chatterbank and thats not included!!

dear twiglet4frog not many of us understands these rules - most of us have at some time or other been banned (myself for 4 days once) Just keep posting away and keep fingers crossed.  It's not personal. I usually only post of Chatterbank now as we can get away with it.

Posts includes answers.  Does that help or am I being dumb?

i understand posts being answers but it says in brackets it doesnt include chatterbank and that is where i placed my thread and several posts. i DEFINATELY broke the rule of over 3 in 5 mins, but i broke the rule in chatterbank that according to answerbank is the only area the rule doesnt count!.

I am not bothered as i understand and i am able to post again which is great, and i wouldnt bother the editor as they have enough work to do and it really isnt that big a deal, i was just confused as to the reason i was banned was for a reason they state i cant get banned for as the rule doesnt exist there.

I had a mail from ABEd like that, Twiglet, but s/he also said they hadn't yet decided how it was going to work re posts on Chatterbank. Maybe they have now.

Hi all,

As mentioned before, there is a 3 post (this includes Questions and Answers) within 5 minute rule. This does not - nor did it ever - include the ChatterBank. You can post as many Q&As in this category.

This is to keep spammers from overrunning the site. This may change in the future.

Since the above is true, members will not be temporarily suspended if they exceed the 3 post limit in the Chat category. As there is no limit.

Therefore Twig was temporarily suspended due to other reasons - i.e. reporting, excessive posts in other categories, unintentional duplicate posts, etc.

May still be a mystery, but I doubt a fatal one.
