I was reading a post from Iyall (May4th) re slow running computer due to Mozilla Firefox. One of the replies was from Senyotreta who wrote an essay on why these problems occurred and referred the writer to a web site that would cure the problem. I decided to try this website and downloaded the programme.30 minutes later I was informed that my computer had 747 problems in various areas and to register to get the problems sorted. I was then directed to the bottom of the page where I was asked to pay £19 for their services. Am I being unfair in thinking that both of these posts came from within the web site company trying to drum up business. If anyone has any experience of this site I would be interested to hear UR comments.
Looking back through umpteen recent @Senyoreeta posts I see that that poster has posted the same garbage advice on virtually every "slow computer" thread regardless of the age or context of the thread (some are 5-6 years old). This sort of irresponsible posting is why there are so many infected PCs in the wild.
methyl, i also noticed that Senyotreta's post had been repeted time after time so i ignored it copletely and went with the advice of Buenchico, and touch wood my computer is now back to normal.
