Coverting Euros To Gbp

There's plenty of websites that do this for you but using the current exchange rate.

I'd like to covert euros to GBP using the exchange rate I got from the post office. Is there a) a site that will allow this or b) what would the formulae be so I can do it on calculator.

There is a big difference in the rate you get when you buy Euros and the one you get when changing them back into pounds. You lose quite a bit.

It's around 1.23 when you buy euros but it will cost you around 1.43 euros to change them back into pounds.

Assuming the exchange rate you are talking about is the pounds to Euros exchange rate, then divide the Euros by the exchange rate.

E.g. 124.98 euros at a 1.2 exchange rate gives £104.15 (i.e. 124.98/1.2)

thanks Ellipsis. I bought something on behalf of someone in Germany and just wanted to know what to charge them based on the rate I got (as I paid in euros)
