I Love This Site Because....?
9 Answers
Personally some nights its been a life saver. Other nights its been a source of inspiration or knowledge that I wouldnt have otherwise thought about. Occasionaly a source of humour and other days a different slant on things that I wouldn't have thought about ('specially in the news section) And yet other times a great source of encouragement and support.
Most of all, I think, I love this site because
a) its UK based
b) its annonymous
c) cant think of a 'c' but who cares its annonymous... ;-)

I love this site because it makes you realise that there are nice people out there in the world, regardless of some eejits you might meet day to day in 'real life'. This site sometimes has me laughing out loud, sometimes it makes me sad, sometimes it makes me really think about things, but most of the time it makes me happy and there is always someone aboot to talk to :o)
I like it because it's full of wondrous diversity, some awesome minds post here the most profound stuff sometimes as well as silly nonsense and fun things. There are old people, young people, people of all religious persuasion, political profiles, people you can love, people you can loathe, but mostly the most fabulous people who can be relied on to try their best to help people in need of assistance. It's what's good about people.

I came in via crosswords. The site offers an outlet to caring for an Alzheimers with whom a proper conversation is long gone. 'What do you think of this or that?' and you hit a brick wall. Remember what you had for lunch? and you hit a brick wall.....not her fault, please don't see the comment as being critical as it's the disease. So, AB offers a diversity of the serious (news/R and S and helping with info), the interesting, the chatter and cliques, yes the dreaded cliques, on Chatterbank, GMEB etc etc - and some good silliness and mental gymnastics - oh, and the crosswords from time to time.
And some of you out there, an empathy and even friendship builds - if that is creating a clique, so be it. How many ABers have I met, six of you and all super, maybe a couple more shortly so.
