Ab Editor - Why Am I Suddenly Being Asked To Identify Myself?
12 Answers
For the past 3 days I have been challenged each time I try to access AB (even though the 'remember this password' box is ticked). This was a little annoying, but tonight my password was refused twice, before being accepted the third time I typed it in carefully. Is it me - or are others having this problem and can anything be done about it? (N.b. I am I.T. illiterate, so don't get complicated.)

So you need to check your browser settings and also those of any security software that you use.
Thank you all very much, quite reassuring. Buenchico, I'm sorry, I wouldn't know how to start 'checking browser settings' or what to do if I found out how to do it. It's very kind of you to give me the information, but, honestly, I meant it when I said that I was IT illiterate! Ask me anything about literature over the last 500 years - but computers were fascinating roomfuls of whirring lights and things on a small TV screen when I was a kid. It's a major achievement to send emails, access this site and buy things on line. O.H. just bought me a Kindle for my birthday - but I can't work out how to buy books for it!!
Anyway, thank you again - nice to know I'm not alone.

jourdain...you need an Amazon account to buy books from Amazon...the main source for kindle books. There are also loads of free sites, including project Gutenberg ... http:// www.gut enberg. org
