So... none too important, but what's Ed's point in the Bees and Flowers artwork at the AnswerBank title (top, left side of page)?

I notice some pages have a semi-seasonal appropriate Wise Owl on both sides of the page, but pedantic minutiae aside, thought I'd ask just in case bees and blossoms are a signal to or for something...

"...pedantic minutiae..." Get him!

it's spring time in Australia.... perhaps he's after the kangaroo market?
Think they're a hanger on from summer Clanad.

We could suggest a new one? How about a giant jar of Marmite in your honour?

;-)
It is insipid and shows a lack of imagination.

I presume that it is to make the site look legit and professional to a new visitor.

It's usually around this time we get the falling leaves of autumn logo.

Ne'er thought of that possibility jno... gotta inlarge my horizons I would guess...
I let young Frankie sniff my Marmite. I don't think that he liked it as he screamed and ran off. I must have forgotten that cats have a brilliant sense of smell.
Soon be time for the witch logo !.

Marmite, Boo? Let me slip back into proper anonymity if you're gonna threaten with slow, but sure death... what'd I ever do to you?

Sensible cat, there, wolf!
I think mamya's right, it should really be coloured leaves by now, and after that I think Halloween is the next sacred festival. Then fireworks for Guy Fawkes day if that's still legal, and finally straight into Christmas and gnomes with white pompoms on the end of their hats.
lol, sorry Clanad, I know I do tend to harp back to it on a depressingly regular basis, but THAT thread was one of the funniest I've read on here, and every time I use Marmite I think of you.

Not sure if you should be pleased or insulted by that last sentence!
"...pedantic minutiae..."

Get him!
Wolf, you do realise that you have just provided the perfect solution for those who complain about cats fouling their gardens, as well as increasing the sales of Marmite by a zillion per cent.

Nice avatar there, Boo. No offense intended... just slow day here...
Clanad, pardner; if'n yers ever ridin' the range and yer espies a sudden unexplained reflection in them thar hills upwind of youse, you and yer horse take cover. It's most likely to be a jar of Marmite removing its cover and readyin to unleash its deadly aroma downwind on yer. If'n yer see two reflections...get outta there: it's an ambush!
Yep, there gonna try and corral ya down at the pass.
The reason that so many people don't like Marmite is because they don't know how to use it. The secret is to scrape it on then scrape it off again so that you are left with just a residue of flavour. That way a jar alsts for years. I wonder how many people who profess to hate Marmite like Twiglets.
A corral, OK: there's a goin' be some shootin' that's for darn tootin'.
I'll go get ma Winchester.
I'm a moseyn off to the beer store to get me some Colt 45. (And that's a fact.)
