Nickel taps

How do I clean them?!  I have bath taps with shower attachment and a pair of taps on the basin.  They used to be really shiny but now always look tarnished and dull.  I have tried duraglit and the usual household bathroom cleaners like cif etc to no avail.  They are definately nickel, and look a bit like silver taps with a hint of gold in....Help!

Try a product called" peek," you can buy it from a narrowboat chandlers, thats the only place ive bought it from up to now, google and see if you can find it for sale anywhere else.
