Old Posts Unavailable?

Something Mikey said about the 2005 General Election prompted to me look to see what people were saying about it then, but I could only access posts in 'News' back to December 2013. I thought all posts were retained. No?

I've just looked back at my own history and all my posts from 2005 are there. There aren't many on politics, though, perhaps because the threads contained too much invective to survive.

jno, I can go back through all the threads that I've contributed to over umpteen years, but I can't go back through the 'general' news pages. I'm sure we used to be able to do that.

I thought so too. Maybe actual threads have been removed, or maybe they've just limited the search function for individual sections while retaining the posts themselves.
