What Have You Been Up Too On This Lovely Day?

After such a beautiful weekend of sun and warm weather, Brighton was a lovely place to be today, after work this morning popped in, as I was here meeting Mrs B for a spot of Tiffin, in the brilliant sunshine this afternoon, all the beach side pubs, cafes, restaurants and bars with benches right near the beach packed, loads of tourists here too, especially on the Pier, having donuts, crepes, ice cream, and fresh fish and chips, and we had our favourite sweet afterwards.....A Belgian waffle with hot caramel sauce and coconut shavings, which is just divine, lots of tourists too, and schoolchildren sitting on the grass in the park area around The Royal Pavilion......Summer is definitely coming....Really lovely atmosphere today....Everyone mainly had smiles on their faces.....But.....Guess what?....Yep......
The British Airways i360 got stuck again near the top at the weekend and is not open until at least tomorrow...so no tourists there then...apart from disappointed ones who found it closed for the day....Spoke to a lovely elderly couple down for a short break from York who wanted to go on it today, and are hoping it'll be fixed for tomorrow morning, as they go back in the afternoon.... They gave us a big hug and said it was nice to find such friendly people to talk too....they were really sweet. :-)
I love being by the sea....should have moved down here years ago.

Me, working till 10.45am, then picked my granddaughter up from the in-laws. We've spent all day in the garden playing with a beach ball, hopscotch and various toys, she's just been picked up, happy and tired, shell probably flake on the way home ;0)
I am changing the car on Tuesday, and I didn't want to part-ex it with half a tank of fuel, so I went for nice long drive, up into the surrounding hills. I came across this place ::::

It was beautiful up there...warm enough for only a thin jacket. The graveyard associated with this very isolated chapel had loads of daffs in bloom, and the whole effect was very spring-like. What a beautiful place, with views all around.
I think I am very lucky to have this kind of scenery so close !
