Is it possible that on the search facility instead of it just bringing up question titles that it could have the name of the person who posted them too please? I think it would make it much easier to find what you are looking for thank you :)

Thanks for the suggestion, together with the Men In Suits, the Heavies are looking to expand our search facility in the coming months, which will enable you to search by user. Not quite a stalkers' handbook jno, but you never know with those Heavies!

people do give out the odd bit of personal information in their posts which, if collated, might amount to quite a detailed personal profile. Perhaps nobody minds?

oh, as long as nobody's worried, I'm not, having never given out any identificatory information about myself. Just occurred to me to wonder if users would necessarily want all the posts they've made in the past to suddenly become easily locatable. For instance, as I read the AB home page, dothawkes is one-fifth diamond. This could easily make her attractive to the wrong sort of man.

lol jno, the reason i asked is cos when i first came on ab  I did a post in B + S about fibromyalgia, then yesterday when it was quiet I remembered I hadnt seen someone for ages who I used to chat to on the fibro post, but couldnt remember how to spell her name to ask about her (completely innocent honestly)  I was lucky cos when i searched the post there was only about 7 entries came up in the results but it got me thinking that there could have been loads more and how difficult it would have been to find the post

ps jno (sorry phone rang while doing my last reply and then I had to get me lad up for school)  anyway I wasnt actually asking for a search by user, what i meant was when you search a subject and the results come up it would be nice if the posters name was at the side to make things easier
