Resetting All Settings On Ipad

Having endured a very slow keyboard on my iPad Mini for some time, I 'reset all settings' as per the Settings menu. The keyboard issue is sorted but I have experienced some other issues which may or may not have come about as a result of the reset. The contents of myjunk mail folder are now an image of my inbox, and the latest post which appears in the Sent box is dated March. How do I get out of this one?
