Motorola Moto G2 - Contacts On Sim Or Phone?
2 Answers
My Virgin 3G phone plan is being discontinued and they have offered me a 4G plan which I'm accepting - although I wont benefit with current Moto G2 phone I know. I will be getting a new SIM. My main question is this. How can I change where phone contacts are stored - Sim or Phone? I'm told its best to store on SIM in case phone breaks etc. I've googled to find out how to check and done the following. I clicked on contacts and the menu (three dots) button. This brought up the following 4 options - Contacts to Display, Import/Export, Accounts, Settings. Google said click on Import/Export. This brought up 4 more options - Import from .vcf file, import from SIM card, Export to .vcf file, Share visible contacts. I clicked on Import from SIM and it displayed "There are no contacts on your SIM". Does this mean they are stored on the phone? If so how with this phone how can I get them on to the SIM card? (the new SIM when it arrives) I can't find any option relating to this either in Contacts or the phones main Settings. I'm not too tech savvy....but learning!!!!
Thanks
Thanks

This means I can simply use the new SIM when it comes and still have all my contacts available. Not sure why but this phone seemingly has no option to store contacts on the phone or SIM, friends have LG and Samsungs phones that do have such options - I presumed all did. I'm happy though that all my contacts are somewhere "safe"
Thee Moto G is the best phone I have ever had when it comes to transferring contacts etc.
Motorola have an app called.. Motorola Migrate.
You just download it onto the donor phone and to the new phone ( or a spare phone in your case). Set the app up and one phone scans the other and soon everything is transferred across to the new sim.
