Answers Being Removed From Threads

Why do answers keep on getting removed from threads? It is incredibly annoying, particularly if you enter a thread with loads of answers removed as it's like listening to one half of a phone conversation.

Are we really all so sensitive that we need to be nanny'd by the AB Censor?

I can only speak for myself, but it takes an awful awful lot for me to be offended, so I don't understand why the censor feels it necessary to protect us.

If somebody is showing themselves up as a complete moron with the things they are posting, surely it's better to allow the posts to remain so everybody can see what a moron that person is being?

sometimes the posts are of an offensive personal nature and best removed

some answers are removed due to them being spam, others are removed due to transgressing Site Rules.

I am not a mod, nor do I know anyone who is, but they have an unenviable job to do.

It quite clearly says at the top of the NEWS page that
"personal attacks and abusive language will not be tolerated"

Too many posts on AB these days contravene these very simple rules.

There has definitely been an increase in innocuous posts being removed and there are new mods too. There is a smack of needing to be in with the right people. This thread will surely be removed. Just play nicely and drink your milk.

Surely the whole point of having Mods, is that they should identify themselves ?

f anybody has an issue with a post being removed, they always have the option to appeal to the Ed.
