Hi ABers out there, not sure which category to put this question under, so hope this will be appropriate.
We went to a lovely food festival yesterday and I used my polyamide/polyester crossbody bag. Standing at one of the displays, a friendly golden labrador decide to lick the bag and left some of his saliva on it. There is now a big stain where he licked it and I am a bit upset about this stain because I haven't had the bag very long. Any ideas about removing the stain, please? I've tried wiping it over, tried washing the affected bit in soapy water, both to no avail. At the moment, I've just dabbed the area of the stain with some liquid stain remover for biological stains, so don't know whether it will remove this stain.
apparently, a solution of ammonia, water and washing up liquid works, there is something in doggy slobber which causes the stain. But will check with the brand people before I put it in the wash. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated. Best wishes, Chox.
I have a couple of Kipling bags and have bunged them in the machine with a tab of Ariel. No ill effects but I don't think either have sustained dog drool!
