Do I start off by deactivating it? Will I have to change any of my personal details e.g. user name, email?? Please someone talk me through it! Thanks.x

Hi Patsy,
You don't need to deactivate your current avatar. It's all done through Gravatar, which you'll need to log into here:

https://en.gravatar.com/

Your email address for logging into Gravatar will be the same one that you use for The AnswerBank. Once you're logged in there you can change your avatar and it should automatically update on AB.
