I notice that various responses have been removed from the above thread. I appreciate that as Editor, you have the right to do this. If you have followed the thread, you will have noticed that at various times, people have sworn at, and insulted me but I did not object or ask for anyone to be removed from AB. I definitely have strong views. I definitely like to express them, but it seems that if they don't agree with others, then all the insults and swearing are aimed my way. The latest whinge has come from user, Captainebay, asking you to remove me from AB. I hope you don't do this and view my comments as my opinions and not offensive remarks. If I have made such remarks, they were only responses, but I don't think I have made any. Thank you.

A lot of intemperate posts on that thread 10CSt but I thought yours were a lot less personally offensive than the rest. The Report This Post option has gone from them, so presumably AB Ed has deemed them acceptable (I would not). I trust however that AB Ed will pay no attention whatever to Captainebay's pleas. Some users only post opinions in the expectation that everyone will agree with them; but this is not a site for group hugs.

i agree with jno, i have just taken the time to read all that post 10cs and find the abuse you got out of order. i have spoken to you before on here and have never found you offensive. youre entitled to your opinion. we all have times when we dont word things the way we should or they dont come across to others as we had hoped but as jno said some people just hope that you will agree and if you dont be it on your head!! keep smiling

The AB does not remove users because someone else has suggested we do. Rather, users are removed from the site when they infringe upon our Site Rules and Terms of Use.

We appreciate strong views - from all sides - within reason. What happens when I edit threads is - as many have commented on before - some logical continuity is lost as others are still responding to some edited or removed posts and frankly, sometimes some manage to get through as they go live when I have just finished reviewing the other bits of the thread.

As always, please Report any posts that you feel go against our Site Rules. This will get them to my attention sooner.

I will have a look at thread again.

i think whatever anyone says should be pretty much allowed. this site is surely a forum for open discussion and even if people do offend, it takes the offendee (a word?) to complete the offense. no? if someone offend you that much, ignore them. i'm tempted to write something really offensive no but think i'll leave it for when the ed's not looking
