Don't be silly david. i have felt like you do at least half a dozen times over my period of membership, to the extent that i do not take AB seriously and if they remove my posts that is AB's loss.....not mine.

That's a shame, David. I hope you return x I understand the frustration with closed threads. One was closed the other day which left no way of reply, explanation, clarification... I had thought it was better than deleting a whole thread, but it seems worse in a way.

I think closed threads are just to give people a chance to simmer down, rather than to rile them up. They're often reopened.

jno...that is not good enough...a thread when closed gives ABer's the impression that no further posts will be accepted. A closed thread is just that ....a closed thread.

I think that did happen with the one I'm referring to, jno. But I had written a post which sound reasonable to me, but clearly hadn't come across as I had meant it (which I sometimes seem to do). I typed out a better explanation which disappeared. By the time I realised the thread was reopened, it was a day or so later, so I didn't bother, but it didn't seem a constructive thing to do.
