I Am Giving My Father 10% Pretax Of All Income Received Until I Hit $100K.

For every check, cash etc. that I am paid for my services or anything, 10% will be sent to my father using an online check.
If I get paid $20.00 for a service completed. A check will be immediately sent for $2.00.
If I get paid $2,000.00 for a service completed. A check will be immediately sent in the amount of $200.00.
I am not repaying a loan, my father is well off and does not need the money. This is solely for me, something I want to do. It is his choice whatever he decides to do with check, that is up to him.
I have a very poor relationship and I am doing this to show my gratitude on all the times growing up him paying for things and helping me out with cash here and there as an adult as well (nothing big - maybe 100-200 at times) but I am considering this as showing my gratitude to him and I am thankful of him. I certainly do not make a lot of money, quite the contrary, very little. Also, I am hoping by doing this maybe our relationship will get better, not from paying him maybe just he sees I am putting forth efforts. However, I am not doing with expectation of anything.
Question:
Does anyone see anything wrong with me doing this?
Any other comments are greatly appreciated too.

waterboatman - Thank you. I would glady do that per his request. Are you saying, I should ask him if he would prefer me donating?
CrapAtCryptics - Thank you. My mother robbed me of $250K, so she can keep that and have fun, not worth my time/mental health pursuing then had me locked up for 4 months under false accusations that was 100% expunged after spending 4 in lockup gathering docs. I never want to speak with her ever again.

I feel that you are going the wrong way about obtaining your father's approval. You say that he doesn't need the money, I accept it indicates how you are achieving, but this could be discussed in conversation anyway. One wonders why you crave his attention but I understand we all like to feel approved of. Have you tried spending time socially with your father, found out how he really feels, rather than merely note he isn't expressive of any feelings ? Perhaps the relationship isn't as bad as it seems.
