Hi everyone! I may have posted this in the wrong section before, so will ask here again. Sorry. My old computer has been struggling to play WoW for some time now and my darling man (ratter15) wants me to get a new gaming computer, so that I can play Shadowlands when it comes out later in the year. These are the lowest specs and then the recommended specs for the upcoming expansion.
https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/256565 and these are the specs of two of the computers we were looking at:
No. ) i7 2600, 16GB RAM, 4GB GTX1050 graphics, 1TB HDD (+ 240GB SSD) from Computer-Specialist UK on Ebay or
No.2) from a private seller on Ebay : AMD FX-8120 8 Core - 3.1-4.0 GHZ CPU.
AMD Wraith Cooler from the later 9590 and Ryzen 2700 systems I think, with RGB Fan.
MSI 970A G43 PLUS Motherboard.
16 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz DDR Ram/Memory.
MSI Nvidia GTX 780 Ti Twin Frozer Edition.
OCZ Solid 3 128 GB SSD.
Western Digital 320 GB Hard Drive.
Coolermaster 600W Power Supply.
CIT Vanquish Tool-less case, 2 front intake fans, 1 rear exhaust fan.
Has two USB 3.0 ports, audio jacks and an SD Card reader on the top as well as a basic fan controller. Comes with a fresh install of Windows 10 Home. Seller is a bit unsure about some of the details.
One of the GMs told me, at 71, I may be the oldest player in the UK, so I know some might laugh at my still gaming. But, I love it, it relaxes me and I get to play with my grandson, who lives at the other end of the country. So, I would be very grateful if someone could advise if either of these would be suitable and safe to get? I am a little worried about the second one, as I have no comeback if it doesn't work, while No 1 comes with guarantees etc. No 1 costs £428 and No 2 costs £400. Many thanks for any advice. Stay safe, please.
