I had a message left on my answer machine simply saying your card will be charged 79.99 for your new subscription for one year. To cancel press 1 for other press 2. Of course pressing numbers now irrelevant. I’ve phoned the number 02181652573 numerous times constantly engaged. I do not subscribe to anything. I’ve checked my cards, so far nothing removed. Scam or any ideas. I’ve googled the number but no luck.

I have joined Amazon prime but I pay 7.99 a month. The yearly rate is £79.00 not £79.99. So scam it looks like.
I assume they cannot get my money? Er, I hope I’m correct. Thank you for your input I do appreciate it.
I've had that robot phone call too - I always hang up straightaway on such calls. Definitely a scam.
I had that too. Don't reply, It's a scam.
It will be a scam but if you want to make sure just log into your Amazon account. There would be a message there if there was any kind of problem or amount due.
